Moving to Bremerhaven

On Friday the 12th of November I took the well packed car, basically loaded with books, and drove through the storm from my parents house in Årøsund, southern Denmark, to our new home in Bremerhaven. Here, I saw the place renovated for the first time, and to my relieve it had been done quiet nicely - the last time we where there the place stank and pigeons had messed up the kitchen completely...
I also met the house master, Herr Klaus, an elderly gentleman who has helped us with many things since we arrived, such as getting cheap internet and loads of tv channels.
Due to the storm, Esben arrived as late as 22.40 at night, and since we only had the rented truck until 9 in the morning, we had to start onloading at night. In the house where every little sound in stairway can be heard really loud in the flats. But we kept on it until 00.30 and then continued the next morning at 6.30. Bet our new neighbours love us by now! And I forgot to say that we live on the 3rd floor now - I couldn't walk for two days after moving our stuff up there.

Our new office seemed to be the convenient place to but things
.

The flat has 3,5 rooms - or 3 larger and 1 smaller room, which is just perfect for us as it gives us a room for Runa, one for the living room and two connected rooms as the bed room and the office. And the kitchen and the office have little balconies, which we will love in the summer we hope. And the house has a garden. Only trouble with the flat is that it is in an old building, so it's probably gonna be expensive to keep it heated...
It's always nice to have the sofa ready to use
But back to moving. On Saturday we tried to get as many things as possible in place before my parents brought Runa down to us - but we were kind of tired. So we went into town and got lunch at the local fish-cafeteria, very nice and very needed.

The kitchen doesn't have too much table place

Later, Runa arrived and my parents celebrated the new flat by helping us unpack things in the kitchen so there was room for us having dinner together.
The height of Runa's chair is tested
Runa went to bed early, and the rest of us relaxed with Berliner-buns, red wine and lamb.
